5 Stylish Ways to Display Your Beauty Products and Toiletries
Forget cluttered medicine cabinets and plastic bins galore. If you’re a product junkie struggling to find a method for corralling all of your lotions, potions, and lip glosses, don’t worry: There are plenty of ways to stylishly and affordably organize your collection for good. Take a look at five of our favorite setups below.
Create a rainbow
Instagrammer Libby Rasmussen lined up all of her beauty products in rainbow order. As a result, her display doubles as artwork — by using acrylic shelving to store everything, the products themselves do the talking. The key here? Being able to remember the bottle colors of your go-to serums, so you’re not spending too much time looking for any one specific toner.
Part with packaging
Blogger Maria Louise made over her bathroom in the modern farmhouse style and was extra thoughtful with small storage details. One trick we love? Using traditional candy jars to store day-to-day essentials like cotton balls. You can do the same with bandages, cotton swabs, and more. Toss plastic packaging for good and decant instead.
Make over your mason jars
Who says mason jars are just for the kitchen? Blogger Casey Finn made her own bathroom storage system using glass jars and a piece of scrap wood (she shares a full DIY tutorial on her website). Finn then used the jars to hold bathroom musts — and because the jars are see-through, it’s easy for her to grab what she needs at a moment’s notice.
Try a tray
Are you a perfume fanatic? Rather than hiding pretty bottles inside your medicine cabinet, set them out for all to see. Blogger Merritt Beck displays her collection on a beautiful brass tray for an ultra-glam look. If you don’t have room for such a setup in your bathroom, note that it would look lovely on a bedroom dresser or shelf, too.
Repurpose a restaurant classic
Britta and Carli Garsow gave a simple, restaurant-style straw holder new purpose with some spray paint and stick-on letters. Now, the piece serves as a fun makeup brush holder that holds plenty — it’s the perfect cheap, yet chic solution.
