Cate Blanchett, Blake Lively, Colin Farrell, and Other Stars Discuss Their Gardens

By Patrick Wilson

Over the years, celebrities have created sumptuous gardens at their homes that sometimes rival those at even grand estates. One of the most famous celebrity Edens is producer Robert Evans’s romantic rose-filled garden at Woodland, his house in Beverly Hills. Legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor was also passionate about her gardens and even had a shocking-pink hybrid tea rose named after her. By surveying celebrities, the Inquisitive Guest learned that their interest in gardening varies widely, from those with green thumbs to others who liked to stop and smell the roses—as long as someone else had planted them.

While other reporters investigated hemlines, we talked pruning and deadheading with stars during Fashion Week and awards season, at film premieres, and at a sumptuous BAFTA tea on the bucolic terrace at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles to find out how their gardens grow.

Find out what Heidi Klum, Tilda Swinton, Zooey Deschanel, and other celebrities have planted in their gardens .
