The New Nomads , a recent release from Gestalten, examines the modern wanderer—part explorer, part migrant worker, and part old-world flaneurs—and how their habits and interests have shaped design. The result is an exploration of innovative design today—from mobile architecture to temporary rooms and flexible furniture. The trailer pictured here is part of a caravan of similar structures temporarily repurposed as programming venues in the gardens of Paris's Musée du Quai Branly.

The Chinese firm People’s Architecture Office has devised a home built to be transported by an attached tricycle. The entire house, made from scored and folded plastic, supports the novel concept of living while moving.

This structure, designed by Gartnerfuglen Architects and Mariana de Delás, is located in a barley field with a panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea. It gives horseback riders a place to rest and groom their animals before and after riding.

Conceived by Santeri Hiltunen, this floating cabin features a sauna, diving tower, sun deck with four hammocks, and spot for barbecuing.
