Take a First Look at the Milwaukee Bucks’ $1 Billion Arena Proposal

The Milwaukee Bucks have released preliminary renderings of a sports and entertainment district—which features a brand-new arena for the team—to be constructed in downtown Milwaukee. In addition to athletic facilities and entertainment venues, the complex would include residential and office spaces. “We’re not just trying to build a new home for the Milwaukee Bucks, but to create a 365-day attraction for Wisconsin residents that will help revitalize downtown Milwaukee,” Bucks president Peter Feigin said in a statement.

The Bucks hired design firm Populous to lead the team of architects responsible for the bold $1 billion proposition, which drew inspiration not only from the city’s industrial heritage but also from the area’s famous rivers and lakes. The proposed arena district would be located near other popular Milwaukee institutions such as Schlitz Park, the Brewery, and the Wisconsin convention center.
