Take a Virtual Tour of Louis Vuitton’s Presentation at Palazzo Bocconi

By Patrick Wilson

Tropical foliage is creeping up everywhere this week at Salone del Mobile, including Louis Vuitton's presentation at the 19th-century Palazzo Bocconi on Corso Venezia. The newest additions to the Objets Nomades collection felt quite at home amid the banana leaves and Baroque architecture. Patricia Urquiola’s fringed, leather-seated Swing chairs hang from a gilded ceiling in a group of four. A woven-leather hammock by Atelier Roi and a pile of Vuitton trunks emerge from a plot of the jungle. The Campana Brothers’ biomorphic Cocoon chair is reflected in the extravagant floor-to-ceiling mirrors. And, of course, what would a Vuitton presentation be without Charlotte Perriand’s sleek prefab beach house, La Maison au Bord de l’Eau? Temporarily installed in the courtyard, the structure is open to any of the chic guests willing to take off their shoes.
