This 138-Foot Superyacht Was Inspired by the Film Tron: Legacy

Whether influenced by Art Deco motifs or the shape and feel of a luxury sports car , superyacht design draws on virtually any source for inspiration. For one 138-foot-long vessel, the designers looked to the 2010 science-fiction action film Tron: Legacy . Dubbed the I-Tron, the futuristic vessel was a collaboration between South Korean superyacht designer Chulhun Park and Italian interior designer Francesca Romana Treleani. With a master bedroom and four guest rooms, I-Tron has enough space to sleep ten seafaring guests.

The exterior of the superyacht sports a bold, electric-blue line that extends from its bridge to its bow, a feature that is most striking at night and evokes an aesthetic similar to that of its namesake. I-Tron’s interior hews to a sleek, modern style. The glass and metallic surfaces throughout, as well as a skylight in the master bedroom, give the superyacht a clean ambience.

The interiors of the concept yacht are sleek and futuristic, in unison with vessel's namesake.

I-Tron comes with luxurious amenities to entertain friends and family, such as a glass-bottom pool, providing spectacular views of marine life from the comforts of the craft. But, since I-Tron cannot control the weather at sea, the superyacht was designed with a state-of-the-art entertainment system for rainy days.

I-Tron is still a concept, however, with the designers providing no indication as to when it could be made a reality.
